Crop image

Drag and resize the crop rectangle directly on your image. Choose an aspect ratio or go free-form. No file leaves your device.

How Crop image works

Crop an image to exactly the frame you want. Drag and resize the crop rectangle directly on your picture, lock an aspect ratio if you need one, and download the result.

Use a preset ratio like 1:1 or 16:9 to constrain the box, or work free-form for any rectangle; the exported image matches your frame exactly. To hide something in the middle rather than trim the edges, use the image redact tool instead.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The crop is rendered by your browser's own canvas, your image is drawn on a local canvas, the area you framed is exported with toBlob on your own device, and the result is offered as a local download. Nothing is sent to Sunasty or any third party. Open your browser DevTools, go to the Network tab and watch: no request carries your image.

Can I crop to a fixed aspect ratio like 1:1 or 16:9?

Yes. Pick a preset ratio to constrain the crop box, or work free-form to choose any rectangle. The exported image matches exactly what you framed.

I want to hide part of the image, not remove the edges. What should I use?

Cropping removes the outer area. To black out or blur something in the middle of a picture, use our image redact tool, which is built for masking sensitive regions before sharing.

Does it work offline?

Yes, once the page has loaded. Because the processing happens on your device, you can disconnect from the network and the tool keeps working. This is the clearest proof that your data never leaves your machine.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is completely free and requires no sign-up. There are no watermarks, no daily limits and no tracking cookies needed to use the tool.
