How GPA Calculator works
The GPA Calculator computes your weighted Grade Point Average in seconds. Add each course with its credit hours and the numeric grade points earned, and the tool shows your cumulative GPA and total credit count. Courses worth more credits pull the average proportionally further in their direction, which is exactly how the weighted formula works.
The calculator is not locked to the common 4.0 scale. Enter grade points on a 4.0, 4.3, 5.0 or any other numeric scale and the formula (sum of grade points times credit hours, divided by total credit hours) produces the correct result. Nothing is sent to a server; all computation runs locally in your browser.
