How Age calculator works
Age Calculator takes a birth date and today's date (or a custom reference date you choose) and returns the exact age in years, months and days. The breakdown is precise: if someone was born on 15 March 1990 and today is 10 June 2025, the result is 35 years, 2 months and 26 days. All arithmetic runs in your browser tab; nothing you type is collected or transmitted.
The calculation walks the calendar from the birth date to the reference date. Years are counted by reaching the same calendar day in later years, months by counting full calendar months beyond the last birthday year, and the remaining days by counting from the last month anniversary to the reference date. This means the result correctly reflects variable month lengths: the month count for someone born on 31 January is based on the last day of shorter months, not on a fixed 30-day approximation.
