Ay evresi nasıl çalışır

This moon phase tool tells you what the Moon looks like on any date: the phase name (new, crescent, quarter, gibbous or full), the illuminated percentage of the disc, the Moon’s age in days, and the dates of the next new and full moons. Pick a date, past or future, and read the result instantly.

Be clear about the method: it uses the mean lunar cycle of 29.53 days measured from a reference new moon, which lands within a few hours of the true instant. That is exactly what you need for a calendar, a photo plan or a fishing trip; it is not an astronomical ephemeris, and it does not account for your position on Earth.

Sık sorulan sorular

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. There is no file and no personal data involved at all: the phase is a pure calculation on the date you pick (days elapsed since a reference new moon, modulo the 29.53-day mean cycle), done in JavaScript in this tab. Your date never leaves the page. Open DevTools, watch the Network tab: no request is made.

How accurate are the dates and percentages?

Within a few hours. The Moon’s real orbit is elliptical, so an actual full moon can drift up to about 14 hours around the mean instant this tool computes. The phase name and illumination shown for a given day are reliable; the exact minute of a new or full moon is not what this tool is for.

Which hemisphere do the moon icons show?

The icons follow the northern-hemisphere convention (the lit side grows from the right). From the southern hemisphere the Moon appears mirrored, but the phase name, percentage and dates are identical.

Can I look up past or future dates?

Yes, any calendar date. The same mean-cycle calculation runs backwards and forwards, with the same few-hours tolerance whatever the year.

Does it work offline?

Yes, once the page has loaded. Because the processing happens on your device, you can disconnect from the network and the tool keeps working. This is the clearest proof that your data never leaves your machine.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is completely free and requires no sign-up. There are no watermarks, no daily limits and no tracking cookies needed to use the tool.
